Frequently Asked Questions

The biggest concern for the structure is to get the water properly dried out and assessed. Water cleanup and mitigation needs to happen promptly in order to prevent mold and other contaminates from forming. Your safety is of utmost importance to us!

If you are experience flooding at your home or business you must contact a flood restoration expert right away! The longer you wait the worse the property damage and the higher risk of environment issues such as mold damage can become.

It depends on the severity of the water damage that has taken place. Sometimes, a basic carpet cleaning will suffice to cleanup and remove the water damage. But if the carpet is too damaged and the water has been sitting on it too long it will most likely need to be replaced. We find this to be case about 50% of the time.

If hot water leaked, it can melt the glue used to lay the carpet which then needs to be replaced. If it is less than 24 hours, it may be salvageable to dry out.

This depends on the level of water damage but estimated time would be 4-6 weeks. This would be from the day we start to tear out, insurance approvals, and repairs.

This will depend on if it is safe for you to stay in your home. If it is a whole house flood then that may require the homeowner to move out. We can try to set up a temporary sink, for instance, so clients can still wash dishes or do whatever we can to make it manageable. Safety is the biggest concern here so we will take extra precautions, especially for the elderly.

If there is asbestos, we do post asbestos testing, no questions asked. We also will continue to test for mold after a job to make sure its gone but often times our mold testing can pick up spores in the air outside as well.

Yes, it can cause rot. Rot can affect structural framing, top places and trusses if it has been leaking long enough.

The most hazardous would be asbestos, mold and sewer back-ups. When restoring your property from a flood or other water damage, our restoration experts will check for this environmental hazards.

Yes, our team will bring all contents back into the home and place the boxes in the area designated for the items. We will bring furniture back in and place it where it belongs as well.

Most of the time insurance will cover water damage restoration. However, there are certain situations that may cause the insurance company to say no. We can help the customer understand what should be covered and what may not be. Some situations may be questionable as to coverage like if something has been leaking for a long time vs. an emergency situation.

Mold is the 1st stage. Rot is next which can affect your structure.

We don’t provide furniture damage restoration in house, however, we out source this service to trusted companies who do.

Restore Master proudly serves the greater Phoenix area and surrounding suburbs.

Water mitigation and remediation are both aspects of the restoration process for flood or water damage. Water mitigation is controlling the damage and stopping it from getting worse. During this process we want to protect your items and prevent anymore damage from happening. Water mediation is the process of correcting the water damage situation. This means cleaning up the property and restoring it to its previous condition.
